Ultherapy

Ultherapy in TurkeyAging is an inevitable process that affects everyone. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle can surely delay it but cannot stop it from taking place altogether. Skin is one of the area of the body that shows clear signs of aging. It is actually a good measure to ascertain one’s health too.

The first signs of aging on the skin are in form of fine lines and wrinkles. They usually start showing up in the forties. As the process continues, the skin starts sagging. With the loss of firmness and suppleness, the skin gives a tired look to the face. For many, it is the end of the road of good looks as they resign to the situation. For some, it is a time to get active and to get the problem fixed.

There are quite a few noninvasive treatment options in this regard which are more than useful in correcting the sagging skin. One of the recent arrivals in these treatments is Ultherapy. It is a highly effective treatment option that is much in demand these days.

Dubai Laser Treatment is not only providing this treatment to clients living in the UAE and in the neighboring countries but also from Turkey. Many are seeking this and other treatments at our facilities located in Dubai. Dubai Laser Treatment intends to open overseas branches and Turkey is on the radar. For now, our guests from Turkey can continue to get treated at our current Dubai locations.

Ultherapy

It is an FDA approved treatment for treating skin laxity. It is a noninvasive treatment option that is uses ultrasound waves to correct sagging skin. It can be used at the face, neck, back and other parts of the body.

Collagen and Elastin

These are two critical structural proteins that help the skin remaining firm and provide it with the natural elasticity. Several factors including sun exposure, pollution in the environment and extreme weather conditions reduce the numbers of these proteins in the skin and cause the skin to become lax and saggy over the years.

How does it work?

To fix the problem, ultrasound waves are set at very specific frequencies to allow to bypass the upper layer of the skin and directly work in the deeper layers. The sound energy is than converted into heat energy which provides with an excellent platform for the increased production of collagen and elastin in the skin.

As the level of these two improves, the skin starts getting better and sagginess starts going away. Unlike most other treatment options, the treatment is done exclusively with sound waves and no serums or medications of any kind are engaged for helping the process.

 Is it painful?

The procedure is pain free. Some discomfort may be felt if no precautions are taken. Cooling gel is therefore applied to the skin prior to the treatment. Cool air may also be blown during the procedure to make it further comfortable for the patient.

Time taken for each session?

A session can last for less than half an hour or as long as an hour and a half. It depends upon the size of the area being covered. Face takes the least amount of time and half an hour is more than enough. Other parts of the body can take longer.

Number of sessions needed?

There is no hard and fast rule in this matter. The sessions needed are highly dependent on the extent of sagginess in the skin and how well a person responds to the treatment. For most people five to seven sessions are more than enough. In individual cases, the number can vary in both directions.

Side effects

The most common side effects include tenderness to touch, itching, redness and swelling in the treated area. The effects are temporary and go away on their own from within a few hours to up to two days. Applying a cold pack can certain help in relieving these symptoms quicker though.

Photosensitivity

Like many other similar treatments, photosensitivity is one of the aftereffects of the treatment. It is best to avoid the sun for the period it lasts. Application of sunscreen with a high SPF and wearing a large hat can also help when you go outdoors. If you get the treatment on a part of the body other than the face, be sure to cover it with clothing when you step out.

Downtime

It is a lunchtime procedure and there is no downtime whatsoever. A person can get treated and return to his or her job soon after. For those getting the treatment for the first time, it is not a bad idea to get it done around the weekend. This will allow you time off and an opportunity to see if there are any adverse effects of the treatment without disturbing your work routine.

When can I see results?

As the level of collagen and elastin in the skin improve, so does the skin itself. While a bit of improvement is evident soon after the treatment session is concluded, it can take several weeks to show full effect.

Are the results long term?

The results obtained from the treatment can last for a pretty long time. It is important to take good care of the skin after the treatment to ensure that they last. A healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet along with avoidance of the sun are the key.

Is it a replacement for surgical facelift?

Surgical facelift is a highly invasive procedure that offers fantastic results. It does, however, carry baggage of a long downtime, risks of scarring and a serious risk of infection afterwards. Many people do not get treated for sagginess to avoid the surgery and its allied issues.

Ultherapy of the flip side is a noninvasive treatment that offers fairly impressive results. These results, however, are not as good as the surgical facelift. It does not, however, pose the same dangers as a surgical procedure. There is no risk of scarring or infections after the treatment and there is no downtime either.

Considering all aspects, Ultherapy is a better option as well as a safer option. Unless the need is too dire, avoiding the surgery for getting rid of skin laxity is a good idea.
